INTERIOR DESIGN
We ensure that interior design is fully integrated throughout each stage of the project, from initial brief to final handover, aligning our service with the RIBA Plan of Work to deliver thoughtful, well-resolved interiors.
RIBA STAGE 0
At this initial phase, we collaborate with clients and consultants to understand the project’s drivers, objectives, and constraints. For us, this is a crucial opportunity to establish the role that interiors will play in supporting the project’s overall vision — whether that means enhancing user experience, defining spatial identity, or meeting specific functional needs. We contribute to feasibility studies and strategic appraisals to ensure that interior design ambitions are properly accounted for in the early strategic framework.
RIBA STAGE 1
We work closely with clients to define a clear and comprehensive interior design brief. Through in-depth consultations, we capture aspirations, aesthetic preferences, lifestyle requirements, and operational needs. We also begin to outline key design principles such as spatial flow, atmosphere, and hierarchy of use. This stage sets the tone for the entire project and ensures the brief is robust, aligned with budgetary and technical parameters, and ready to support concept development.
RIBA STAGE 2
Using the agreed brief, we begin to explore initial interior concepts. We consider layout arrangements, materiality, lighting mood, and form — always with the user experience in mind. We present ideas through a carefully curated mix of sketches, 3D visuals, precedent imagery, and tactile sample palettes. This stage is highly collaborative, providing a clear and evocative vision that invites client feedback and sets the creative direction for the scheme.
RIBA STAGE 3
As the architectural and interior designs develop in parallel in preparation for the planning application, we coordinate interior elements with the wider design team. This includes aligning spatial layouts with structural grids, MEP systems, and compliance requirements. Detailed room layouts, joinery designs, and fixture placements are refined, ensuring every component of the interior environment works harmoniously. We present updates through annotated drawings, visuals, and refined palettes, maintaining clarity and consistency throughout.
RIBA STAGE 4
We prepare a comprehensive interior design package suitable for pricing, tender, and construction. This includes detailed drawings of bespoke joinery, bathrooms, kitchens, lighting and electrical layouts, finishes schedules, and specifications. We ensure that all elements are fully coordinated with other disciplines to minimise risk and uncertainty. The technical information produced is clear, buildable, and crafted to reflect the quality and detail our clients expect.
RIBA STAGE 5
We maintain a hands-on role during construction to ensure the interior design is executed faithfully. This includes reviewing shop drawings, approving samples, managing suppliers, and coordinating delivery schedules. We conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve queries in real time. Our presence during this stage helps maintain quality control and ensures design integrity is upheld right through to completion.
RIBA STAGE 6
As the project reaches completion, we support the final stages of delivery, assisting with snagging, quality assurance, and installation reviews. We oversee the placement of key interior elements and ensure that all specified finishes and fittings meet the expected standard. We also provide documentation and support to facilitate a smooth handover for both clients and end users.
RIBA STAGE 7
Our commitment extends beyond handover. We offer post-occupancy services such as layout adjustments, styling support, and operational feedback reviews. We believe that well-designed interiors continue to evolve, and we remain available to help clients fine-tune and optimise their spaces. Whether it's future-proofing, maintenance recommendations, or interior upgrades, we ensure the space continues to perform beautifully and meets changing needs over time.
