Interiors progressing nicely on phase 1A of our Wormley Community Centre project. The carcass of the bar is installed ready to be clad with green-blue concave tiles to match the external cladding. While the space allocated for the commercial cafe kitchen has been fitted out for its temporary use between phases as a Nursery. A safe clean Ofsted compliant space has been created by concealing any visible future kitchen services behind colourful painted timber housing which also adds an element of playfulness to the room.

Adaptability is crucial when navigating an ambitious phased community led project. Each phase of our Wormley Community Centre Project has been designed with flexibility in mind, ensuring spaces can adapt with changing needs to allow for continued operation with minimal impact throughout the construction periods. Phase 1A has been built to serve a dual purpose, all services and ducting are in place ready to accommodate a full scale commercial café kitchen, which will be installed in future phase 1B. The same space has also been designed to temporarily accommodate a new nursery with dedicated new entrance and outdoor play area.

We have been appointed for RIBA stages 0-3 for an exciting mixed use development project in Islington. The proposal is a retrofit of an existing office building which will provide a new accessible multifunctional community hub at ground floor level for a vital local charity; while the floors above will be converted to residential units. Careful consideration to the form and mass of a new mansard roof extension will offer increased development potential while minimising impact on neighbouring properties and its wider context.
