RIBA STAGE 0
At the outset of every project, we take a collaborative approach. During the initial consultation, we actively listen to understand your aspirations, requirements, and project goals. This early dialogue is essential in shaping a tailored design brief that forms the strategic foundation for the entire project journey.
RIBA STAGE 1
We develop the initial project brief further, commissioning any necessary surveys and conducting a detailed site analysis. This includes a thorough appraisal of planning policy, statutory requirements, and site-specific constraints. This groundwork ensures that the concept design is both informed and achievable from the outset.
RIBA STAGE 2
With a solid brief and site understanding in place, we explore a range of design options through feasibility studies and concept development. Our approach is holistic, balancing creativity with practicality. We carefully consider the client’s vision alongside environmental, contextual, and regulatory factors to create a thoughtful, contextually responsive design.
RIBA STAGE 3
The preferred concept is refined into a coherent and fully developed design proposal. At this stage, we prepare documentation for submission to the local authority as part of a pre application advice submission if required and the formal planning application. We draw on our professional experience and in-depth understanding of planning processes to craft proposals that maximise the likelihood of approval.
RIBA STAGE 4
Once planning approval is granted, we produce comprehensive technical drawings and specifications suitable for Building Regulations approval and contractor tendering. During this phase, we also resolve all technical aspects of the design, coordinating input from structural engineers and other consultants to ensure a fully integrated and buildable solution.
RIBA STAGE 5
We provide full architectural and lead consultant services during the construction phase. Our team remains closely involved to ensure the contractor has access to up-to-date design information, and that the build progresses according to the highest standards of quality and compliance. We are committed to delivering precision at every step, supporting both client and contractor until completion.
RIBA STAGE 6
We manage the process of practical completion and handover, ensuring the project is delivered to the agreed specifications. We coordinate final inspections and documentation, making sure all parties are aligned and the building is ready for use.
RIBA STAGE 7
Following handover, we continue to support our clients through the defects liability period. We remain available to monitor performance, resolve any outstanding issues, and ensure the building continues to operate as intended in its early life.
