This site provides general information about our services. It does not constitute formal architectural advice unless we are appointed under a written agreement.
All content is protected by copyright and must not be reproduced or reused without permission.

 

3. Fixed Fee Consultation Terms
 

Cassell Architects offers short, pre-booked consultations either online or in person.

 

3.1 Nature of Service
Consultations last 1–2 Hours. Options may include

  • High level planning advice 

  • High level budget advice

  • General design advice

  • Measured building surveys (for early-stage concept design)

  • Sketch plans or sketch views to explore ideas

These are advisory only and do not replace formal design services or statutory approvals. A separate contract is required for further work.

 

3.2 Booking and Payment


All consultations must be booked in advance and paid in full at the time of booking.
Prices include VAT (if applicable).
A confirmation email will follow your booking.

 

3.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

 

  • Cancel more than 48 hours in advance for a full refund

  • Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable but may be rescheduled once at our discretion

  • Cassell Architects may cancel or reschedule in unforeseen situations

 

3.4 Client Responsibilities
 

You must provide background info, access details (for in-person sessions), or supporting documents at least 24 hours before your session.
Online sessions require a stable internet connection.
Late arrivals may reduce session time.

3.5 Intellectual Property


All materials provided (e.g. sketches, notes, surveys) remain our property.
Clients receive a non-exclusive licence for personal use only.

 

3.6 Limitation of Liability
 

  • While every effort is made to provide accurate and helpful advice, Cassell Architects accepts no liability for decisions made based on consultation advice.

  • Our liability for any claim arising from the consultation will be limited to the total fee paid for the session.

 

4. Limitation of Service
 

  • The advice provided is based on the information shared during the session and is advisory in nature.

  • It does not constitute architectural design, statutory approvals, or professional appointments under an RIBA appointment.

  • For any project requiring ongoing services, a formal RIBA Professional Services Contract will be proposed separately.

 

5. Privacy and Data Protection

Your data is handled in accordance with GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
Any information you share is kept confidential and used solely for service delivery or improving our website.

 

6. External Links
 

We may link to third-party sites. Cassell Architects is not responsible for external content or data practices.

 

7. Governing Law
 

These terms are governed by English law.
Disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
