We have been appointed for RIBA stages 0-3 for an exciting mixed use development project in Islington. The proposal is a retrofit of an existing office building which will provide a new accessible multifunctional community hub at ground floor level for a vital local charity; while the floors above will be converted to residential units. Careful consideration to the form and mass of a new mansard roof extension will offer increased development potential while minimising impact on neighbouring properties and its wider context.

The proposal includes a number of horizontal and vertical interventions designed to meet an ambitious brief. Careful consideration to architectural gestures, articulation and materials complement the existing building while subtly enhancing its presence. Newly formed street frontages contribute to creating an active and vibrant community hub.
